Your booking app runs the calendar. NewGrowth gets clients to it.

You do not need to replace a booking system that already works. NewGrowth sits in front of it as your salon-aware receptionist — answering while your hands are busy, following up when a call is missed, and texting customers the exact link where you already take appointments.

Step 1

A customer calls or texts

NewGrowth responds in your salon’s voice, even when you are with a client.

Step 2

Your agent helps them

It answers questions using what it knows about your services, hours, policies, and team.

Step 3

They get your booking link

The customer chooses a time in the booking system you already trust.

Already using one of these? Great — keep it.

Paste your public booking link during setup and NewGrowth can start sending ready-to-book clients there.

What NewGrowth adds to the tools you already have

Booking platforms are excellent at calendars, payments, and client records. NewGrowth handles the conversations before a client reaches that calendar. Goodcall is the closest direct answering alternative, so we compare it here too.

Keep what works. Add what is missing.

GlossGenius and Booksy are booking platforms you can keep using with NewGrowth. Goodcall is a true answering-service alternative. Here is the honest role each can play.

GlossGenius
$28–$168/mo · 2.6% flat processing

A polished all-in-one booking, payments, website, and client-management platform. If it already runs your business well, there is no need to migrate away from it to use NewGrowth Launch.

Paste your GlossGenius booking page into NewGrowth and the agent can answer calls, carry customer conversations into text, and send ready-to-book clients back to the workflow your team already uses.

Keep GlossGenius for: booking, payments, and client management. Add NewGrowth for: live call answering, customer text-back, and conversational booking-link handoff.
Booksy
$29.99/mo + $20/staff · Boost: 30% of a new client's first visit

Booksy’s marketplace can help clients discover a business, while its scheduling and Reactivate tools support the booking lifecycle. Those strengths remain useful when NewGrowth is added in front.

NewGrowth handles live calls and ongoing customer texts, then directs ready-to-book clients to your Booksy page. Booksy keeps doing the scheduling; NewGrowth keeps the conversation from being lost.

Keep Booksy for: marketplace discovery, scheduling, and Reactivate. Add NewGrowth for: salon-aware calls, two-way texts, and booking-link handoff.
Goodcall
$79–$249/mo per agent · $0.50 per extra unique caller

The closest direct alternative on this list: an AI that answers calls 24/7, can send booking links, offers unlimited minutes, and supports general-purpose workflows including a documented Boulevard connection.

NewGrowth focuses on salon-aware call and text threads, encrypted client memory, and a path to direct eligible Square automation on Salon plans.

Choose Goodcall if: unlimited minutes or Boulevard automation matters most. Choose NewGrowth if: salon context, ongoing two-way texts, and a path to Square automation matter most.

The wider field

The same distinction applies across the market: booking platforms are systems you can keep, while AI and human receptionists are alternatives to compare directly.

Answering services to compare

These products overlap with NewGrowth’s front-desk role, so price, channel coverage, salon context, and booking behavior matter.

Smith.ai
$300–$2,100/mo human; AI from $150

Human and AI receptionist options with published per-interaction add-ons. Appointment booking can use a public booking page; confirm the exact calendar workflow and add-on pricing for your setup.

Ruby
$250–$1,725/mo

US-based human receptionists priced by receptionist minutes, including time spent handling and transferring calls. A strong fit when a human voice matters more than automation depth.

TrueLark (now Weave)
Contact sales

Salon-focused conversational automation now offered through Weave. Public pricing is not listed, so compare its current voice availability and supported booking integrations directly.

Yelp Receptionist
$99/mo, 500 calls

AI call answering with recordings and spam screening. Its public positioning emphasizes general business call handling rather than a salon-specific call-and-text workflow.

Booking platforms you can keep

NewGrowth Launch can send any valid public booking page. These platforms remain responsible for the calendar, payments, and booking completion.

Fresha AI Concierge
Paid add-on, price unpublished

Fresha offers its own voice concierge inside the Fresha platform. If you already use Fresha without that add-on, NewGrowth Launch can still direct customers to your public Fresha booking page.

Vagaro
$23.99/mo + add-ons

Booking, marketplace, and messaging features with separately priced add-ons. Keep Vagaro as the system of record while NewGrowth handles calls, customer texts, and link handoff.

Boulevard
$176–$410/mo per location

A premium booking and operations platform for multi-provider businesses. NewGrowth Launch can hand off to its public booking page; compare Goodcall separately if native Boulevard appointment actions are required.

Mangomint
$165–$375/mo + $75 Connect

Booking and workflow automation with its own Connect phone product. NewGrowth can be added as the conversational call-and-text layer while Mangomint remains the booking system.

Start with the handoff. Automate more when you are ready.

Every paid plan can use your public booking link. Direct calendar actions are optional and clearly separated.

Salon

$249/month · 600 minutes + 2,000 texts
  • Everything in Launch
  • Eligible Square availability and booking actions
  • Cancellation, rescheduling, recovery, and win-back
  • Public booking link remains the safe fallback

Fair questions

Do I have to replace my booking system?

No. Launch only needs the valid public booking link you already share with clients. Keep your calendar, payments, staff setup, and booking workflow exactly where they are; NewGrowth handles the calls and texts that lead customers back to that page.

Is this comparison actually fair?

We tried hard to make it so. Pricing and feature details were reviewed against the linked vendor pages on July 8, 2026, we separate complementary booking platforms from direct answering alternatives, and we flag limits in the table instead of hiding them. If we got something wrong, tell us and we'll fix it.

How does Launch work without an integration?

Paste any valid public booking page, including a free Square booking site, Calendly, Booksy, GlossGenius, Vagaro, Fresha, or your own site. NewGrowth texts that link during the customer conversation, and the customer completes the booking in your existing system. No calendar data or API access is required.

GlossGenius announced an AI receptionist too. Doesn't that close the gap?

“Reception by GlossGenius” is officially announced but listed as coming soon with no published price as of July 8, 2026. Its live appointment actions will operate inside the GlossGenius calendar. Existing GlossGenius customers can keep that calendar and add NewGrowth now for call answering, customer texts, and public-link handoff; we will update this page when Reception ships.

Why is NewGrowth more expensive than GlossGenius or Booksy?

Because it does a different job. GlossGenius and Booksy run booking and payments; NewGrowth handles the live customer conversation around them. Launch at $79 answers calls, follows up by text, and sends the booking link you already use. Salon plans add eligible Square automation, recovery, and unlimited Win-Back campaigns.

What's the catch on competitor pricing I should watch for?

Each has a different meter. Booksy adds $20/mo per staff member and Boost takes 30% of a new client's first visit. Smith.ai stacks per-call add-on fees (booking +$1.50, texts +$0.50, recording +$0.25…). Ruby bills per receptionist-minute including hold time, rounded up in 30-second increments. Goodcall meters “unique callers” at $0.50 each past your plan. Ours: $0.35/min and $0.05/text past your allowance — and your number never stops answering.

Keep the tools you like. Stop losing the conversations they cannot answer.

Give NewGrowth your booking link and let your AI front desk start answering calls and texts. No platform migration, no long-term contract, and no need to rebuild your calendar.
